I was recently introduced to water color palettes and love them. They are a non messy way to bring out the painter in you. Its quick, easy and no stress. Which is really a plus for me- as I tend to get overwhelmed with painting. I plan to spend some time this fall painting while the baby naps. There are some really pretty sets out there all for a reasonable price. I love this one below- pretty pearlescent shades that are surprisingly saturated and deep.
