Waiting For Baby

My due date is 2 days away so we are in the "any minute now stage".  I am much less anxious than I ever imagined I would be.  I'm thankful for this.  I do have my moments of panic, but overall feel calm and just ready to hold this little guy and introduce him to the world.

 We are in a surreal dream like state right now, we feel like the house is ready- we feel ready but we know that life will never be the same and you can't prepare for that.  I do know that we are ready for the challenge the good and the tough things.   I know our lives will change forever any moment now, and that life will be better- full of even more love and fun, and growing and learning selflessness.  For now all we can do is,  look around and see his room, his swing, the sweet tiny baby booties and just be excited to have him here with us.  Take your time little one, but we are ready when you are.

Baby Buys

We found the crib! After waiting for a few weeks for the store to restock, and checking the website daily, we snatched it up.  It was a great deal for the style and was highly recommended.  I love that it is simple.  The baby room is a very light robin egg blue so I think that this gray will fit in nicely.  We are planning on doing a nautical explorer theme.  With vintage globes, anchor and boat motifs.  Lots of stripes and a few stars- we will keep things in the same color family to make things cohesive.  I'm thinking Navy, Gray, Shades of Blue and a little pop of Mustard/ Gold yellow.

News

On Friday we found out the sex of our little bean.  We are having a.........baby Boy!!

We are thrilled and can't wait to teach him to be a little gentleman.  Friday was a terribly rainy day but the whole day seemed magical.  The light reflected on the soggy green hills in such a way that it felt almost like a dream.  Our appt was at 3 so we had to wait all day in anticipation.  It feels so nice to know more about this little one, I feel closer to him and can imagine our fun days ahead more vividly.  We had a wonderful night sharing the news with family at a cute restaurant downtown.  The rain poured and poured, flooding the streets but we were nice and warm inside, laughing and dreaming and just celebrating our little one.  

We can't wait to meet you little bean.

3 Months And Counting...

I'm am just over three months along.  So far, I am really enjoying this.  Some days I want to rush through and meet this little one.  Other days I'm scared out of my mind.  We are just thrilled and are trying to enjoy and capture all the steps along the way.  It is so great to celebrate the three month mark.  I feel really relieved that things have gone well to this point.  I am learning to trust more and relax in knowing that my body knows how to do this even I don't :).
