These Boots Were Made For Walkin'

Oh fall!!  Fall clothes, fall scarves, fall boots.  I can't wait.

I do have a dilemma though, I have chunky calves and have not been able to find tall boots that fit properly.  I have been forced to wear the bootie, as these fit just up to the ankle.  Luckily I happen to like the bootie, but sometimes I long for a pair of tall boots that make more of a statement.  I feel like this might be the year, it will take a bit of time- and I am sure I will be met with rejection... but I do believe if I try enough of them- I will find the perfect pair.

 For those of you that have normal or smallish size calves, I have a couple of great vintage pairs in my shop.... oh I really wish these were my size!!

Shop Update

Monday Monday

Monday was nice to me today.  It wasn't really an especially great Monday but Mondays can be brutal sometimes.  Luckily today was not too bad.  Even though the dark grey sky poured most of the day it seemed to take a break whenever I was outside (so thoughtful that sky...).  For dinner I was even able to pull off making a delicious Spaghetti dinner for one.  Kev was a a work dinner, so I enjoyed it all by my lonesome- but there are leftovers :).

On a different note, the shops- I have so many new things coming soon.  It is very exciting.  It is hard to part with so many of the lovely things that I find.  It really is... like this sweetest little German pup in the shop now.  Isn't he adorable?

The Handbag

Oh the Handbags- I just love them.  I always dream of finding the one that is just right.  The one that will change my life- make hard times easier- punch up my wardrobe 20 notches- ah yes that's the one.  I am searching for a certain shade of brown- soft worn leather, tobacco dark in tone- new but aged.  I am longing for that perfect buttery shade of yellow edgy yet classic that will pop against my normal black and grey outfits. I guess Im more of a shoulder bag person, I even love the cross body styles... so much easier to manage when I'm thrifting.  And then there's the vintage ones, so petite and really the true handbag.  These will be in my shop some point this weekend- stop by to check them out!

So this little trio is a star this week.  It has received 45 hearts almost in a single day.  At first I thought it must have appeared on Etsy's front page but my tracking data says no.

  Hmmm... maybe someone linked it on a blog...must have been someone very popular... it is a mystery.  They are still up for grabs and looking for a home- but with this attention they won't be around for long!


PS.... just found out they were on Pinterest!  I love Pinterest- such a fun creative place to spend too much time :).

Work Day

Hello Friday~ I am happy to announce that today is a much needed Etsy Hay Day.  Which means I will be spending the whole day overhauling the shops, getting new items listed and revamping some things here and there.    So many fun things will be added to the shops in the coming weeks!  I am so excited about all the little treasures I have found- and helping them find their new homes :).

In the Shop

Sigh....This spring has not felt like spring- it feels quite fall-ish out.  When the skies are grey I find myself gravitating toward some color to brighten my day.  I was so pleased when I found this colorful jackpot!  What cute little colorful spools.

Wool embroidery thread in all the colors of the rainbow plus some.  In the shop now, ready to bright up your cloudy day......
